I'm Isaac Vigil
I do Product
Design & Strategy

From Startups to Companies with millions in revenue I have worked with different teams all over the world.

Thanks to the experience collaborating with really diverse projects, I know what has to be done and most importantly what shouldn't be done to make a product a success.

Being multidisciplinary helps me know what is required in the different parts of building products.

Besides a Designer, amongst other things, I am also a Founder, an Entrepreneur, and a Leader. I have founded my own Design Studio, which provided solutions to multiple clients. As an Entrepreneur, I have started different projects and I am always looking at new ventures to work on. Being a Leader I ensured that the teams under my charge stayed on track, achieved their objectives while developing their skills.

Barcelona

2017-2019

After living 9 years in Asia, I felt it was time for a change, that's why I decided to go back to my hometown: Barcelona. Barcelona is becoming a tech hub which means a lot of fo opportunities are happening across the city.

Sr. UX Designer at Edreams

From December 2017 to Currently

eDreams ODIGEO with a presence in 43 markets, is Europe's largest flight retailer, serving over 18.5 million customers last year and managing 1Billion/month searches. This makes a very demanding environment where I am lucky to be developing new solutions that affect the entire purchase flow. Even the position is as a UX Designer, I have been leading various initiatives across my area, like mentoring Junior UX Designers, creating the place and time to align with other teams and writing how-to guides about different processes. This is because of my nature of never staying in my comfort zone and pushing myself to be better while helping the ones around me to do the same while creating more collaborative synergies.

UX Consultant at Dexma

From October 2017 to December 2017

Dexma provides energy saving solutions. My work during this four-month project, consisted of redesigning the B2B solution, making it a more robust experience, while updating the UI and creating an atomic design system to be used across the company. This was an interesting and challenging project as it was about renewing an outdated platform which required extensive work both on rethinking the UX and updating the UI.

Hong Kong

2014-2017

Being in one of the financial capitals of the world, where feels like everyone is hustling was a great experience and helped me to improve multiple skills.

Founder & CEO at Near

Founded in 2014 at Hong Kong

Being a Founder of a Start-up gave me the opportunity to work in multiple aspects of creating a business, planning and launching a product. This was such a great learning opportunity and it made me push myself like never before.

UX Lead at Nixplay

From December 2014 to June 2017

Nixplay produces cloud-connected digital photo frames. Working in Nixplay allowed me and my team to collaborate in all areas across the company: their e-commerce platform, marketing, packaging, video production, hardware UI and the software to manage the hardware. One of the most important challenges was to drive more traffic from Amazon to the Nixplay store, by a combined effort of marketing promotion we achieved more traffic and with funnel improvement, we reduced the friction across the shopping flow. My role as UX Lead has been to bring new ideas that pushed the design to a new level in the various projects I been involved in both on their B2C and B2B products.

Shenzhen

2012-2014

Living in the heart of the global hardware tech industry, meant being in a fast-paced and thriving environment, where everything changes overnight, that kind of spirit motivated me to get even better.

I took care of the interaction and requirements between both parts while managing various external designers and a developing team of around twenty developers.
